Don’t forget to clear your head. Each day our sensory input takes in tons of cues, perceptions, information from the moment we wake until the moment we lay our heads down. I find that the data that we take in, whether controlled and uncontrolled, has an effect on our perceptions and attitudes within our personal lives. 2020 has heightened this for all of us without a doubt, therefore much action is required on our part to stay healthy inside and out.
One thing I recommend to decompress and relax is to take daily walks, create an exercise routine, go hiking or just drink some tea and unwind. I have added bike riding to my routine because it knocks out 3 goals for me all at once. First, I am able to navigate beautiful scenery. Second, it helps me burn some calories and last but not least, I don’t have to think about anything while I am out riding. Usually, I put on some good music or an audiobook and cruise for 5 miles around the city.
Lately, I’ve stopped at the area pictured above to chill and watch the water, birds and view. As Comfort Killers, we need to be okay with carving out a piece of our day and dedicating it to ourselves. There is no better feeling than this.
