Removing the EGO and living through spirit isn’t a walk in the park. Sometimes I want to kick the wall – I do get upset and most times especially lately I’ve been forcing, pulling and pushing the company it seems up a hill.
I know that some people are reality based folks. If they get a bill to pay a week ago and today notice the bill on the kitchen table, they will curse the vendor, cuss the bill itself, then turn around and cuss their kids out. I believe that’s so reactive and causes a slew of problems later down the line.
That’s how it is when you’re constantly pushing and pulling at reality. The EGO likes to stay right where it once was – a comfortable terror baby. But I was wrong.
I thought I knew everything about business and just wanted things to WORK already. I was wrong. I thought I was serving people to the best of my capabilities. I was wrong. I thought I was supposed to be moving upwards – to the top! non-stop! until the beat drops! I was wrong.
I thought that people would automatically invest in themselves. I was wrong. I thought that money would be knocking at my door and in my mailbox overnight. I was wrong. I thought that more people would want me to succeed. I was wrong. I thought that I was doing it for me. I was wrong.
My EGO has been here: holding on to my values and supersizing them to make me feel good for such a long time that I got caught red-handed with placebos. Feeling it and giving it.
So instead of being RIGHT! I was wrong. How many times have you said, you were wrong? But here is the best thing one can do when they get to this point of reality clash, when you feel like damn … then you surrender. Not to anyone else and not for anyone else. You surrender to yourself and fall back into the arms of your spirit. From your spirit comes inspiration, inclinations and insight. Coming from a place within you begin to become interested and interesting and truly involved in live. Versus living reactionary to it.
Now, I was just telling my girlfriend that due to the title of this post many people will check it out and try to gather what I am trying to say here. But here’s what’s funny about the EGO – you can only perceive things that keep you comfortable and doesn’t ruffle you too much. You might think ” Ah, Stacy is on some other shit.. when in fact, Stacy’s always been on the same shit since day 1. Or, you may even think this article doesn’t involve you.. “you meditate and you feel great” but at the same time you’re not doing it for YOU. You’re doing it for likes and shares.
The EGO is one big contradiction and as I am working to release mine, I see many contradictions happening all at once.
What is the EGO?
The Ego puts you on a never ending quest for acceptance (even if you think you’re not trying to get acceptance, head nods, validation and everything else.. it’s a lie) you may be.
The Ego loves to hold on to everything. Everything in reality needs a name, time, place, … everything needs your attention. Needs you to have an opinion about it. Needs you to be attached to it.
The Ego loves to judge, to be in superior mode..loves to win and will alter facts, time, and importance just to keep telling itself that it is winning. Who is this hurting. Maybe no one else but definitely you. I am a huge fan up uplifting people and making them feel good. But shit, people are draining!
The contradictions in business and how you think you should be. Because your guy is doing this then you have to do that. What’s important to you? Well I was wrong.
